A caveat: I am a huge fan of Ann Patchett. I believe she is a national treasure. No one writes about the quiet loveliness of the human experience like she does.
I love, love, love the warmth and sentimentality that her writing makes me feel, without being saccharine or cheesy.
This was another beautiful, warm, soft story about family and reconciliation. Witty and lovable.
