Terrible. Sold as a modern Jane Eyre, but nothing about this resembles Jane Eyre except the names and the fact that there’s a living ex-wife somewhere.
Jane Eyre is such a good gothic, atmospheric classic. It’s so dark and unexpected. I love the idea of a modern version that’s smart and equally dark and gothic. This one was just trashy thrills, and not even very good ones. There was nothing smart or interesting about it.
