Abhorsen
A supreme fantasy.
I adored this series. The world-building is so original and immersive, but not so outrageous that I couldn’t imagine being in it. I loved the devotion of the Disreputable Dog to Lirael, and I’ll be thinking even about Moggett, Sabriel, and Sam for a long time. This book really had the ability to stick in my thoughts as a supreme fantasy. I’d love to see it made into a movie or television series.

The descriptions of the Abhorsen’s home, the Seers’ ice mountains, and crossing the threshold into Death.
